Exists to empower, protect and benefit women, girls and families in Central America

ABOUTUS.

MISSION  The Center for Central American Empowerment, was established in 2016 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN: 47-5558624) to create and/or support projects in Central America that empower, protect and benefit women, girls, strengthen families and their environment; address obstacles to their wellbeing; and promote male responsibility. 

VISION  Many women and girls in Central America are among the poorest and most vulnerable in our hemisphere.  The vision of the Center for Central American Empowerment is that women and girls in Central America have the comprehensive support needed for their educational and vocational needs, safety, health and wellbeing; with increased protections from exploitation, abuse and other obstacles that threaten their success; and that boys and men take responsibility for ensuring equity, equality and protection for all.

Needs Analysis .

Many of the Central American countries have among the highest rates in the world for infant mortality1, with wide-spread malnutrition and an absence of even the most basic necessities such as running water and electricity. This burden is compounded for women and girls in poverty. Equal opportunities in education such as attending school after 6th grade, securing viable employment and obtaining comprehensive health care are often out-of-reach....

Action Plan .

The Center for Central American Empowerment researches needs and supports projects to help women, girls and families break the cycle of poverty, oppression and exploitation by supporting and/or creating projects that increase opportunities for Central American women and girls, support the family unit and their environment, address obstacles and promote male responsibility.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

The Center of Central American Empowerment has identified the challenges faced in developing countries like Guatemala, Nicaragua and Honduras. We are rallying our community and resources to be able to better serve and expand on projects that are sustainable to address issues of oppression, poverty, abuse and more. We'd love to invite you into our mission and the impact we are making in these communities.
